Premier League Debate Show

A Premier League football debate show, focused on the hot topics on-and-off the field, in the papers and social media. The request; design a punchy title, easily update-able, represent multiple media platforms - Twitter Instagram etc - as well as all twenty Premier League teams and the football governing bodies.

Taking the basic premise of the show - spoken word - and the focal point of the game - players, managers - the two were cleverly combined, to create a typographic homage of the heroes and villains of Premier League football constructed from words. The treatment is strongly influenced by the core branding of Sky Sport’s dedicated Premier League channel, combining common assists such as it’s bespoke typeface, colour scheme and hero photography. The complexity of the chosen animation treatment made the challenge of keeping the title editorially flexible quite tricky. However an ingenious combination of both Red Giant, Trapcode Form and Particular resulted in this sequence being update-able, simply by selecting alternative images. A youthful and punchy undertone is achieved through a fast paced and disruptive edit, combined with an upbeat yet gritty soundtrack.
